Been there every week. Food is amazing, burger patties are juicy, components on the burger are just so good, 10/10. I think this is the only bar with specialized bartenders and cocktails for cocktail and whiskey lovers who cares about details. Fair price.

Go here all the time for the lunch special- great deal! Kitchen gets understandably backed up, so it's not necessarily a quick lunch. Loved Anna as our server

Best fish & chips in State College; maybe the best I’ve ever had. Fries are delicious. Burger is delicious. Worth your time & money.

Great place for enjoying a beer and good food at a decent price. They have specials throughout the week, and they are really worth it. Tap beer is served cold, although there are no local or craft beers to the best of my knowledge.

Went on Friday the weekend of Penn States Homecoming. It was super busy but the service was quick and our server was very kind. We got a large cheesesteak to split IT WAS HUGE. No one was mad about that haha. The food was amazing!

The best burger in town, hands down. Came in for the burger special and was absolutely blown away! Fresh and juicy, this burger is absolutely mouth watering with every bite. The fries and service were excellent as well. Absolutely will be back

Stopped by after walking through the downtown. What a choice! The whiskey menu was great. Took a few minutes to look through. I got the beaver burger. That was delicious. Upgrade to fries and get the garlic aioli. Fish and chips look great. They have a wedge salad that look delicious.

Visited for the third time since this review and every time the burgers have been amazing. The most consistently cooked burger! Perfect! The name is deceiving, it’s not a whiskey bar. Great selection of drinks and beers. Beer prices are great too. The food was absolutely excellent. Shared a burger and cheesesteak with my daughter and they were top notch. The fries are super fresh and crispy. We will definitely return here for dinner. Servers were very friendly and attentive.

This is a review about the Local Whiskey lunch special. It is one of my go-to options in town. It's hard to beat this lunch special in terms of taste and value! Admittedly it is a little crowded and you might only get a seat at the bar, but it's still a great deal! For the lunch special you can't customize anything, so it's a little rough if you have any significant dietary restrictions. But the burger is comparable to any standard burger I've had in town, and the fries are great!
